What’s up? Been some time since I’ve done anything new here. I guess to finally start making use of this blog for the first time since I made it in 2019, I thought I’d do a little retrospective of my history with running blogs.
I’ve always loved the concept of blogs, just as a little corner of the internet for yourself to do and say what you wish. Growing up, I ran a couple blogs about things I was passionate about.
Roperz CP (2013-2015)
In 2013, I started a Club Penguin blog. Well, it was Club Penguin themed anyways. It never really stayed on topic.
While half of it was me talking about Club Penguin, usually spewing info about my imaginary Club Penguin Private Server or CP Trainer and passing it off as though those things were real, the other half of my time on there was spent blogging about the fake phone models I was drawing in class all day back then. I had concocted a whole story of how they would be sold, under what company name, what prices, when they would be released, what features they had, all the nine yards. I still have some of those paper phones somewhere actually, I’ll post about them sometime if I ever find them.

Roperz’s Game Reviews (2015-2016)
In 2015, I made a new blog called “Roperz’s Game Reviews”. It’s exactly what it sounds like, and yes, the z wasn’t capitalized. I didn’t capitalize the Z in my username that until later in 2015 when I started one of my old YouTube channels later that year. It was about what you could expect from an 11 year old. I would write short little reviews and commentaries on the few games I played back then, which were something along the lines of Mario games, Angry Birds games, Minecraft, and… that’s about it. The post I remember the most is one where I shared my favorite creations in Bad Piggies. Yeah, there was never much content there for an outsider, but that was my safe little corner of the web for a time.
Sadly, those two blogs were lost to time and permanently deleted in 2016 because… erm… helicopter parent is the way to describe it, I guess? They didn’t like that I did those blogs without telling them, so, that was the end of “Roperz CP” and “Roperz’s Game Reviews”.

Super Penguin Galaxy (2017)
Lasting from August 15th, 2017 to August 31st, 2017, this was the shortest running blog I ever managed. The concept of this one was to basically, for all intents and purposes, combine what I had going on my previous two blogs. The name was definitely more creative than the rest, as it was intended to directly nod towards the two main focuses of the blog, which also happened to be the tagline – “Club Penguin & Mario!”
Super Penguin Galaxy was made primarily due to the fact that I had recently joined the Club Penguin Twitter community due to the game’s unfortunate shutdown after not playing the game for years, and I had seen many people making their own Club Penguin blogs. I wanted to tap in on that as well since I’d done blogs before, but add my own spin also talking about Mario since the release of Super Mario Odyssey was right around the corner at this point.
As you might be able to imagine, there weren’t that many posts considering the short time frame in which this blog was active. Though, despite this, I managed to put out at least a couple posts covering both topics, ranging from Club Penguin community events, to speculation on whether or not Mario was dead. Real MatPat level stuff.
However, unlike my first two blogs, this one is actually still up. I did private all the posts, but you can read the message I left on there just recently. You can check it out here.

RoperZ (2019-Present)
And, well, here we are. Now we’re at present day on the blog you’re reading this from now. Not much can be said about the history of it yet, just that I made it in 2019 out of boredom in my science class because the class was stupid easy. I’ll say that I wasn’t really thinking of it as a blog when I made it, hence the name just being… my name. I originally made this as more of an overly-complicated alternative to having a Carrd (although funnily enough, I did make a Carrd in 2020. It hasn’t really been updated since, but you can check it out here.) That’s why even though I never had any posts, there’s always been a dyide section to have a place on the site for my music.
To be honest, this blog doesn’t really have a set theme or goal like the others did. This one’s just here for me to say whatever whenever. Over the past week I’ve been reflecting on all my old blogs (or what’s left of them on archival services,) and I realized just how much I used to enjoy doing this.
Life has given me much leeway lately in terms of having time for myself, that I’ve decided I’ll start blogging again. It’s therapeutic to have a space to speak so freely for myself, without much a care of who is listening.
See you next post!
(also, listen to my new single. Listen to it. Liiistennnn.)
